SCMCHA honors the pioneering productive families in steadfastness and work in Sanaa.

The Department of Women and Children of SCMCHA organized today an event to honor productive families pioneering steadfastness and work, in cooperation with the Intisaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights, under the slogan “Building Women’s Capacities towards Strengthening Resilience.”

At the event, the Assistant Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Muhammad Fares, explained that Yemeni women are partners in local production, stressing the importance of supporting productive families and motivating them to enhance the role of women in production and breaking the siege, enabling them to face the economic and living burdens in light of the siege aggression.

He pointed to SCMCHA’s support for productive families in building capabilities, developing performance in local production, achieving self-sufficiency and dispensing with imported products.

For her part, the head of the Women’s Protection Culster in Yemen, Florence, confirmed her readiness to provide support and assistance to Yemeni productive families in coordination with SCMCHA.

At the event, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Women’s Sector at the Bonyan Foundation, Sarah Jahaf, the Director of the Women’s and Children’s Department at the Council, Amat Al-Malik Al-Khashab, noted the role that women play in various fields and the honor and appreciation they receive from Yemeni society.

The event included various segments and a flash about the role of Yemeni women in production and manufacturing, and honoring leading productive families in the labor market with certificates and symbolic gifts.
