Al-Hamli delivers dairy factory equipment and supplies to the Agricultural Cooperative Union
Today in Hodeidah Governorate, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, handed over the equipment and supplies of the dairy factory and assembly centers to the Acting President of the Agricultural Cooperative Union, Mubarak Al-Qili.
The dairy factory project includes dairy production lines, production of cans and lids, components for collection centers, refrigerated means of transportation and other cooling refrigerators, solar energy, and pumps, at a total cost of 954 thousand and 121 dollars.
During the delivery, the Secretary-General of SCMCHA explained that the delivery of equipment and supplies to the Agricultural Cooperative Union comes within the state’s strategy to achieve sustainable development, by supporting local production, increasing milk production, and supporting farmers with the aim of reaching self-sufficiency.
He indicated that the project will contribute to supporting farmers and increasing milk production in a way that serves the beneficiaries of dairy producers and achieves the objective of the project.
Al-Hamli highlighted that SCMCHA is working with humanitarian partners to support farmers by implementing projects, interventions and activities to enhance resilience in Yemen.
He emphasized that the SCMCHA is working to implement sustainable development projects to achieve economic growth and food security and contribute to alleviating the human suffering experienced by the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.
Al-Hamli stressed the importance of contributing to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and enhancing resilience by creating sustainable livelihoods and improving access to basic services.
He called on the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee and the Cooperative Union to maintain the project and continue working on milk production.
For his part, Al-Qili appreciated SCMCHA’s efforts in supporting the agricultural sector, through implementing sustainable development projects that contribute to serving the citizen.
He confirmed that the Agricultural Cooperative Union will work to implement the dairy factory project, noting that the implementation of the dairy factory project reflects the interest of Supreme Council and its leadership in supporting agriculture and farmers.
The handover was attended by the Chairman of the Delivery Committee, SCMCHA’s Director General of Monitoring and Evaluation, Muhammad Al-Razzaa, Legal Affairs Ammar Al-Sayani, and a number of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, and the Agricultural Cooperative Union.
