A meeting to discuss the evel of implementation of “UNOPS projects in Ibb governorate.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, discussed today in Ibb Governorate, with the Director of UNOPS in Yemen, Rehana Zwar, the level of project implementation in the governorate.

The meeting reviewed the projects implemented in the governorate in the field of maintaining the main roads and entrances to the city of Ibb, as well as the western ring road of the city of Yarim, and projects to provide electricity to health facilities, as well as water and sanitation projects in a number of areas of the governorate.

Al-Hamali explained that the matrix of projects in the governorate that was presented to UNOPS to implement the projects touches the needs of the citizen and contributes to development and alleviates the suffering and burdens resulting from the aggression and siege, nine years ago.

He indicated the importance of the projects implemented in the governorate in the roads, water and sanitation sectors, as well as rural water projects according to the plan approved by SCMCHA.

For her part, the Director of UNOPS Office, Rehana Zwar, confirmed the implementation of the projects approved by SCMCHA for the governorate, and there are several projects that have become ready, appreciating the role of SCMCHA in facilitating the work of the“UNOPS Office in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by the general director of SCMCHA’s branch in Ibb, Abdul Rahman Al-Arjali, the general director ofthe Monitoring and Evaluation department of SCMCHA, Muhammad Al-Razzaa, thethe general director of international organizations, Turki Jamil, and the general director of local organizations, Abdul Salam Al-Nawab, the UNOPS program advisor, Khaldoun Salem, and the director of relations, Ali Ibrahim.
