Tawoos meets with the director of the UN office for humanitarian affair on the occasion of the expiry of his work.

The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation met today with the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in The United Nations, Sebastian Treves, on the occasion of the expiry of his work.

At the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Council expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs during a period of his  work in Yemen. He also  wish the best for him in his future duties.

Tawoos praised the joint work and effective coordination that Treves  presented. He also hoped  that the successor would be as serious as him to move forward with humanitarian work.

For his part, the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs praised the Council’s efforts to facilitate humanitarian work.

“Humanitarian action must receive great attention, cooperation and joint coordination are pillars of the success of humanitarian and relief work that will alleviate  the consequences of the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.” Trev said
