Workshop discusses the need plan for 2020.
The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation held a workshop on Tuesday to discuss the general framework of the Humanitarian Need Plan for 2020.
The workshop, which was attended by The Secretary General of the Council of Humanitarian Affairs AbdulMohsen Tawoos, acting head of the Planning Department Mutahar Zeid, head of the Department of International Cooperation, Manaa Al-Asal, and undersecretary of the Ministry of Water, Abdul Karim Al-Sifiani, aims to enrich the discussion and put forward observations to identify all needs and come up with a plan Standardized humanitarian needs . which cover all sectors and meet the reality of actual human need
The workshop, with the participation of representatives of relevant government bodies involved in the preparation of the needs plan, reviewed the humanitarian needs plan and observations that shall be discussed.
At the opening of the workshop, Council Secretary General Abdul Mohsen Tawoos stressed the importance of holding this workshop under the situation that Yemen has been experiencing for five years and until today and with the continuation of the unjust and inhumane blockade by the aggression of Saudi led coalition.
He pointed out the necessity of hard working and cooperation with all government bodies step by step to identify needs and work priorities in order to come up with a unified humanitarian needs plan covering all sectors which also meets the actual needs of citizens affected by the current situation.
He explained that the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs is the only window through which it can facilitate humanitarian work and coordination between different entities to achieve the best work and meet the requirements of the necessary need in ways, correct mechanisms and standards that would achieve the objectives of humanitarian work.
