Head of Supreme Council meets With Yemen’s Humanitarian Coordinator.
The Director of the Office of the Presidency ; the Head of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation ,Ahmed Hamed,met today with United Nations Resident Representative for Humanitarian Affairs to Yemen, Liz Grandi.
The meeting, in the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Azi and director of the Office of the UN Envoy in Yemen Nicolas Davies, discussed the humanitarian activities and programs of the international system working in Yemen and ways to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and their great tragedy resulting from the continuation of the aggression and the blockade by aggression.
The meeting discussed ways to develop humanitarian work and response plans in accordance with the priorities and humanitarian needs for 2020, stressed the importance of joint action to conduct humanitarian work to alleviate the human suffering suffered by the Yemeni people.
The meeting reviewed joint efforts to overcome the problems facing some humanitarian activities and the keenness of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to make the tasks and work of humanitarian organizations working in Yemen a success.
The meeting stressed the importance of working through the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs to ensure the unification of sources and strengthen coordination in all projects between organizations and official authorities.
The meeting was attended by the head of the media department of the Office of the President of the Republic Mohammed al-Wraith.
