Tawoos discusses humanitarian priorities with Oxfam.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs met today with Oxfam International Executive Director José María.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the Department of International Cooperation, Manaa al-Asal, and the acting planning department, Mutahar Zeid, Mohsen Siddiqui, Qatari Director Oxfam, Morsi Al-Haidari, Deputy Qatari Director, and Amal Al-Masdari, Director of Management and Communication at Oxfam, discussed aspects of common interest and priorities of humantrian work
The meeting reviewed the organization’s activities, field work ,and the most important problems facing its field track.
In the meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed the readiness of the Council to provide all the necessary facilities and work to solve the problems and find appropriate solution for the work of the organization and facilitate its humanitarian tasks.
He stressed the importance of coordinating with the Council, which is the only way through which organizations can deal to achieve humanitarian objectives in accordance with rules and standards that serve the path of achieving common goals.
For his part, the Executive Director of Oxfam stressed the organization’s keenness on the process of full coordination with the Council and wished that everyone will work to find appropriate solutions to all problems and develop the treatments in accordance with joint and effective cooperation and coordination to move forward in the course of humanitarian action.
