The President of the Supreme Council meets with unicef representative and advisor to the executive director of the organization.
The Director of the Office of the Presidency the head of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Ahmed Hamed,met today with UNICEF Resident Representative to Yemen Sara Besulu Nyanti and Special Adviser to UNICEF Executive Director Saad Houry.
The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Water and Environment Hanin al-Dreib, discussed the relations of cooperation between Yemen and UNICEF in the humanitarian field.
The meeting touched on efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and their great tragedy resulting from the continuation of the war of aggression and the unjust blockade imposed by the States of aggression and the need for organizations to play a key role in alleviating this suffering.
The meeting also touched on the aspects of how best to deliver urgent and necessary assistance to the most needy in accordance with well-thought-out plans that achieve positive short, medium and long-term results.
The meeting discussed joint efforts to overcome the problems facing some humanitarian activities and the keenness of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs to make the work of UNICEF and other humanitarian organizations working in Yemen a success.
