Discussion of mechanisms for cooperation between the Supreme Council and UNDP.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdul Mohsen Tawoos discussed today, with UNDP Deputy Resident Representative Nahed Hussein, humanitarian coordination mechanisms and development projects.
The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice Judge Saad Ahmed Hadi, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Manaa Al-Asal, And The Technical Committee for Children’s Justice, Amal Al-Riachi and Vice President of the Department of International Cooperation Ali Al-Kahlani, discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination mechanisms for projects and activities related to the Ministry of Justice and the importance of speeding up the implementation process in accordance with a chronic strategic plan that takes in consideration priorities.
Tawoos stressed that the council is keen to facilitate the work of the program because of the importance of the projects it implements. He pointed out the need to coordinate with the Council to overcome any difficulties that the program may face.
For her part, the deputy resident representative praised the cooperation and facilities provided by the Council for the implementation of development projects. She stressed the keenness to coordinate with the Council and hold regular meetings to review the difficulties and put the necessary solutions to ensure the provision of services in accordance with the priorities of need in order to achieve the humanitarian and development goals.
