Tawoos and Al-Ansi inspect a number of health and water sectors.
The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation(SCMCHA) Abdul Mohsen Tawoos and Acting Governor of Thamar, Secretary General of the Local Council Mujahid Shayef al-Ansi, visited the body of Themar General Hospital today.
During the visit, which was accompanied by the first deputy governor Fahd al-Maroni and the director of ACTED organization Robert Simpson, they were briefed on the troubled outpatient project, the obstetric emergency unit, the dialysis center and the emergency department of the hospital .
They heard from the chairman of Themar General Hospital Authority Dr. Mohammed Al-Ghashim to a study on the completion of the outpatient project and the importance of completing it in enhancing the role of the Authority in the infrastructure of clinics and departments as well as the need of providing equipment and furniture for the second floor of the emergency unit Obstetrics, which contributes to the provision of quality services for mother and child.
Dr. Al-Ghashim pointed out the importance of intervening in the provision of solutions and sanitary supplies to the dialysis center and supporting the emergency department with medical equipment to protect the health services provided.
During the visit, Tawoos and Al-Ansi stressed the importance of ACTED’s intervention in completing the outpatient project , providing medicines , supplies and contributing to the basic needs of the hospital in order to reduce the pressure on the hospital and improve the level of medical and health services for the beneficiaries of the Authority’s services.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council and acting Governor of Thamar were also briefed on the displaced persons camp in the city of the crossing of The Jahran District.
They listened with the director of The ACTED organization from the director of the Branch of the Supreme Council for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Engineer Munir Al-Maroni, to explain the conditions of displaced persons in the camp and their needs for humanitarian, shelter and health assistance.
In addition, Tawoos and Al-Ansi visited water projects in al-Ghoul area of Rasaba village of Al-Kharuba and al-Wahda Hospital in Mabar city of Jahran district.
During the visit, together with The First Deputy Governor al-Mroni director of ACTED, Tawoos and al-Ansi pointed out the importance of operating the three water projects as part of the organization’s interventions in the sustainable solutions project, which will help to cover the needs of the regions for drinking water and agriculture.
They pointed out the importance of supporting the water and health sectors in the Dwaran District and operating agricultural water projects within the food security activities of the multi-sector sustainable solutions project.
They were briefed on the health equipment at the Health quarantine Center to deal with the Coronavirus at Al Wahda Hospital in The City of Masfar, and listened to an explanation of the preparations for the coronavirus and the need for medical devices.
They were accompanied during the visits by the Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Council Manaa al Asel, director of health office Dr. Khalid Al-Hajji, Deputy Director of the National Immunization Program Abdul Hakim Al-Nahari, The Water Foundation Engineer Taha al-Hindi, The Hygiene and Improvement Fund Faisal Hassan, The Zakat Authority Branch Majid Al-Teena and director of the Directorate Jahran Ismail al-Mughni and Deputy Project Director of the Supreme Council Imad Hajar
