Discussion of organizations’ interventions to counter Corona virus in Yemen.
A meeting in Sanaa today discussed the organizations’ plan to provide the necessary needs and identify urgent interventions to confront the Corona virus in Yemen.
The meeting, in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mansour, Chairman of the committee of Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs to follow up on the needs to tackle the Corona virus Jaber Al-Razhi v, head of the International Cooperation Department, Maneh Al-Asal, head of the Single-Window Sector , Hamza Al-Mukhtar, Deputy Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, “OCHA”, Brisbane Rococha and UNICEF representatives International migration, the High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations Population Fund and the World Food Program touched on the aspects related to the implementation of the plan.
At the meeting, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health stressed the importance of expediting the implementation of the plan and providing the necessary needs, including the examination requirements necessary to detect Corona virus … He pointed to the importance of benefiting from the experiences of countries that have suffered from the spread of the virus.
He pointed out that the organizations bear the responsibility for any delay that would expose Yemen to the outbreak of the virus . He also stressed the importance of taking all precautions in a timely manner to keep Yemen free from the virus.
For his part, the head of proceeding committee Jaber Al-Razhi stressed the need for serious and responsible action and not to slow down or default in the face of the Corona virus.
He pointed out the necessity of providing examination requirements and focusing on the ports mainly … pointing to the importance of serious work to provide the requirements of quarantine, health safety and basic services there.
The representatives of the organizations confirmed the continuation of work in this aspect as well as seeking to provide all requirements and work according to a mechanism and a timetable for providing the necessary support and intervention in the priority areas and ports.
