Discuss the progress of the implementation of precautionary measures to fight COVID19 in Sa’ada.
A meeting in Sa’da governorate today, chaired by Governor Mohamed Jaber Awad, discussed the implementation of precautionary measures to the response of coronavirus in the province.
During the meeting, which included The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for SCMCHA Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, head of the local authority department of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic Qassem al-Houthi, director of the Branch of the Coordinating Council for Humanitarian Affairs in Sa’ad Aydan Mohammed Beydan and the leader of the Hamdan bin Zeid Axis, Major General Yahya al-Razami, the governor stressed the importance of redoubling the efforts and raise the readiness to face the virus and protect the community from risk.
The meeting heard the report of the province’s operations room to deal with the virus. ” 5,542 people were placed in quarantine centers, 1,200 of whom left after being confirmed to be hiv-free” according to the report . He Pointed out the increasing number of runway people that need increasing of efforts to implement precautionary measures.
The meeting reviewed the report of the Civil Service Office regarding the reduction of staff to 20% as well as the report of the Health Office and its activity in providing medical and therapeutic services as well as services provided to quarantine centers in various district.
The meeting also reviewed the report of the provincial Branch of the Supreme Council on field visits and services provided to health centres such as shelter .
The council worked to provide 30 tents for a number of quarantine centers, 5,000 mattresses and blankets, and provide food for all centers, in addition to establishing central kitchens in some border district and a central kitchen in the provincial capital covering the needs of 2,500 people a day, according to the report.
The report also noted to form a team of the Council to distribute food, finance kitchens, provide solar energy and other important needs of the centers.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stressed the importance for all to take responsibility in the face of the Coronavirus.
Tawoos said it is important to cooperate with the security services, intensify efforts and focus on quarantine centers and monitor ports.
In turn, the head of the local authority department of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic praised the efforts of the technical committee in the province in the face of the coronavirus. He called for concerted efforts in the face of the virus.
The meeting was attended by the provincial undersecretary for culture and media, Yahya Al-Hamran, and a number of officials and military leaders.
