The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed today with Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Radwan Ali Al-Rubai ways to develop and improve productivity levels through livestock.
At the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Al Qasim Abbas, President of Sana’a University and Chairman of the General Authority for Agricultural Research, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos stressed the need to take care of livestock and work to develop ways to improve livestock productivity in order to ensure better living and food levels through which the development and economic aspect of Yemeni society can be promoted and self-sufficiency achieved in this regard.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Radwan al-Rubai pointed out the importance of expanding production through livestock and working to educate farmers, ranchers and livestock farmers on how to improve production by modern means that will contribute to achieving self-sufficiency and food security for citizens.
Dr. Al Qasim Abbas, president of Sana’a University, said that the interest in agricultural and scientific research and the multiplicity of research centers will contribute to the actual start towards developing development indicators and improving productivity.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Abdul Nasser Khalid Al-Aweidi, Director General of the General Department for Livestock Development at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
