Tawoos meets head of ICRC mission in Yemen.

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA Abdul Mohsen Tawoos discussed today with the head of the ICRC delegation to Yemen, Katrina Ritz, the committee’s activities in Yemen.

The meeting, which was in the presence of the head of the International Cooperation Department of the Council, Mana’a al-Asal, discussed the interventions of the Humanitarian and Medical Committee as well as the priorities of its interventions during the coming year.

In the meeting, Tawoos praised the humanitarian efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
He also appropriated its ongoing cooperation in the implementation of priority humanitarian projects.

He confirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the SCMCHA and ICRC,confirming the Council’s keenness to facilitate the work of the Committee and to overcome the difficulties it may face in carrying out its tasks .

The head of the ICRC delegation in Yemen, said she would spare no effort in alleviating the humanitarian crisis facing the Yemeni people.
