The meeting discussed the difficulties and challenges facing the General Authority for environmental protection.
At the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council pointed out the importance of raising environmental awareness among all segments of society and establishing the importance of the environment and sustainable development in all areas.
He also indicated to the problem of plastic bags and the resulting multiple health and environmental problems, confirming the importance of developing treatments to prevent this phenomenon by finding alternative and solutions to the environment.
For his part, the Vice-President of the General Authority for Environmental Protection referred to efforts to conserve natural resources and reduce environmental pollution in all areas.
Abed confirmed the importance of implementing the environmental protection law and conducting environmental impact assessment studies for all development and investment projects, and supporting the efforts of the Authority to be able to do its part to preserve the environment, pointing out the challenges facing the Authority and the efforts being made to carry out its work as required.
