Sana’a training workshop concludes on interim classification of acute malnutrition
The training workshop on the integrated interim classification of acute malnutrition, organized by (FAO) and UNICEF, was concluded today in Sana’a, in coordination with the Supreme Council for The Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation.
The nine-day workshop, with the participation of 120 trainees from 15 provinces, aimed to analyze the current situation of malnutrition through the figures and analyze the results that are among the priorities of the Humanitarian Response Plan for 2021.
At the conclusion, Hamza al-Mukhtar, head of the single-window department of SCMCHA, confirmed the importance of the integrated interim classification of acute malnutrition in Yemen, which is relied upon in identifying areas and people suffering from malnutrition in Yemen.
He pointed out the importance of the workshop to build and strengthen the capacity of cadres in the field of food security analysis and malnutrition using the integrated interim classification.
