Tawoos meets WFP resident representative.
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed today with WFP Resident Representative Laurent Boukira the progress of WFP’s field activities.
In the meeting,in the presence of the headof the Single-window department Hamza al-Mukhtar and the head of CCC and JTC Anwar al-Lahji, Tawoos indicated the importance. of working in accordance with the mechanisms and standards of need.
Tawoos confirmed the importance of the coordination process, raising annual report as well as the current year plan to the Council to contribute effectively to facilitating humanitarian work and the access of aid to its beneficiaries.
For his part, the resident representative of the WFP confirmed the continuation of WFP in its humanitarian missions in Yemen and the keenness to work together and continue coordination with the Council to serve the common goals.
