Supreme Council inspects injured gas station explosion at The Republican Hospital in Sana’a
The head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Mana’a al-Asal, inspected today those injured in the explosion of a gas station in Al-Bayda city who are receiving health care at the Burn Center of the Republican Hospital in Amanat Al Asmeh
Al-Asal, along with director of single-window Hamza al-Mukhtar, director of Council’s branch of Amant Al Asmah Abdul Wahab Sharaf al-Din, and Director of Operation, were briefed on the level of health care and medical services provided to the 32 wounded.
They listened from the head of the Republican Hospital Authority Dr. Mutahar Murshid and the staffs of Burn center to clarify about the health status of the injured and the necessary needs of medicines, treatments as well as urgent medical supplies, confirming that 20 beds of care center were equipped to accommodate cases that need artificial respiration and isolation in a special place to avoid complications and transmission,
Head of the hospital also confirmed the need for medicines and medical supplies to save the lives of the injured.
The head of the Department of International Cooperation,Mana’a Al Asel , confirmed that the visit comes from the humanitarian duty towards the victims of the explosion of the gas station in Al-Bayda and the victims and injuries of dozens of burns of the second and third degree cases, some of them critical.
He appreciated the role of the Ministry of Health and the Republican Hospital Authority in receiving the victims and providing them with health care and first aid.
Al-Asal said the council will work to mobilize efforts and coordinate with development partners and supporting organizations to provide assistance to the injured and the crews of the Hospital Authority to carry out their humanitarian duty .
