Discussion of strengthening cooperation between SCMCHA and DRC.

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed with DRC Middle East Regional Director of DRC in Middle East,Gerarad Garvey, Country Director in Yemen Talin Khansa, strengthening cooperation and coordination between the SCMCHA and the organization.

The meeting, which was attended by the General Director of International Organizations of SCMCHA, Turki Jamil, discussed projects to build the capacity of civil society organizations and improve the protection of children in affected communities by providing basic child services, promoting adaptation and social cohesion through an integrated response to vulnerable communities in Yemen.

Tawoos urged to cooperate and coordinate jointly between the two sides to facilitate movements and overcome obstacles that may arise during the implementation of humanitarian projects.

For his part, Garvey appreciated the cooperation and facilitation provided by the Council to the organization, indicating that Yemen is a priority due to critical humanitarian situation it is going through.

He stressed further support for the provision of humanitarian projects that contribute to alleviating suffering.
