Discussion of cooperation between SCMCHA and HandiCap.
The Secretary-General of SCMCHA Abdul Mohsen Tawoos discussed today with the new Country Director of Handicap, the partnership between the two sides .
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the International Cooperation Department, Mana’aAl-Asal, touched on the projec that has implemented during the past period.
The meeting also discussed a number of topics related to physiotherapy, rehabilitation centers, services for people with special needs, and the reasons for stopping the organization to pay the incentives of specialized physiotherapists in some hospitals.
Tawoos stressed the need to implement interventions to provide services to people with special needs of modern devices for the manufacture of limbs, electric vehicles and massage devices instead of providing crutches and rudimentary tools.
He also stressed the importance of providing hospitals with modern equipment to perform the necessary operations for cases requiring amputation and the installation of prosthetic limbs.
Tawoos called for the involvement of civil society organizations in humanitarian interventions for people with special needs.
For her part, Caroline stressed that the intervention in projects for people with special needs in the past years has been little, but the organization is currently working to redouble efforts in the coming period to expand interventions to meet the needs of people with special needs.
