Discussion the projects of the German ADRA organization
The head of the International Cooperation department of SCMCHA, Mana’a Al-Asal, discussed today with the Chief Financial Officer of the German Adra organization Rebrot Schmidt, the humanitarian situation due to the aggression and the blockade, as well as the organization’s projects in Yemen.
Al-Asal affirmed that the Yemeni people are being mass executed as a result of the siege, the closure of Sana’a International Airport and the need for thousands of patients to travel abroad for treatment.
He indicated that humanitarian needs were very large and funding was scarce compared to the size of the need, noting the need to reduce the organization’s operational expenditures and to have a clear mechanism in implementing interventions to alleviating human suffering.
Al-Asal confirmed that donors have to have a mechanism to evaluate and follow up projects to avoid mistakes that ensure the quality of projects and meet the needs of target groups.
In turn, the FAO team emphasized working to address any imbalances and improve projects that contribute of meeting needs, and evaluate their implementation in partnership with SCMCHA.
The meeting was attended by THE ORGANIZATION’s Director of Humanitarian Projects Verina Lauer and Project Manager of its Yemen Office, Mjaboli.
