Tawoos meets the Deputy Head of the United Nations Evaluation Team.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed today with the Deputy Head of the United Nations Evaluation Team, Martin Van, the progress of the visit to a number of governorates to inform them of the organizations’ projects.
The meeting, in the presence of the head of the International Cooperation Department of SCMCHA Mana’a al-Asal, reviewed an overview of the visits of the deputy head of the evaluation team to a number of governorates, briefing her on the organizations’ projects and discussing ways to develop humanitarian work and response plans.
Tawoos confirmed the importance of evaluating humanitarian work to address the problems and avoid any defects and gaps in the future, in a way that contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.
He indicated the SCMCHA keenness to find humanitarian projects of a developmental nature that meeting the needs of affected and displaced families according to a work mechanism that serves humanitarian work.
Tawoos explained that SCMCHA is working to unify ways between humanitarian partners and enhance coordination between organizations and official bodies to implement projects that meet humanitarian needs.
In turn, the deputy head of the United Nations Evaluation team appreciated the role of SCMCHA in overcoming the difficulties that humanitarian organizations faced during working in Yemen, confirming the keenness to communicate with SCMCHA and work according to a mechanism that contributes to serving humanitarian work.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of SCMCHA, Muhammad Al-Razza’, the Director of Projects Imad Hajar, and a member of the United Nations evaluation team, Abeer Al-Absi.
