Tawoos inaugurates the distribution of humanitrian aid in Abdiya district of Marib governorate.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, was briefed on the humanitarian needs in the Abdiya district in the Marib governorate.
The Secretary-General of SCMSHA and the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, William David Grisley, in the presence of the director of the SCMCHA branch in Marib, Saleh Al-Sharif, inspected the situation in the district and the needs of its people for projects and aid.
Tawoos explained that the visit aimed to provide assistance to the people of the district , which includes the disbursement of 4,533 emergency bags and a food basket, distributed among 2,400 emergency aid provided by the United Nations Fund, and 2,133 food baskets provided by WFP.
He pointed out that the living conditions of citizens and the necessary measures to improve the collapsed situation caused by the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries were reviewed as well as the needs of the Abdiya Hospital.
Tawoos confirmeden that SCMCHA will work with humanitarian partners to implement sustainable development projects that alleviate the suffering of citizens, and provide solar energy systems for water projects in the district.
