Tawoos discusses with the Deputy Representative of the UNHCR the needs of IDP.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, discussed with the Deputy Representative of UNHCR in Yemen, Iraj Amomberdev, the needs of the displaced for humanitarian assistance.
The meeting, in the presence of the Head of the Coordination Departments of SMCHA, Faisal Modhish, the Single-Window,Hamaza Al Mukhtar touched on the humanitarian situation of the displaced in light of the continuing waves of displacement in a number of governorates in light of the humanitarian crisis, which is considered the worst in the world.
Tawoos pointed out the importance of doubling humanitarian aid for the displaced in all governorates, and the intervention and presence of UNHCR in the districts and liberated areas in the governorates of Ma’rib and Shabwa.
For his part, Amomberdev indicated that UNHCR will implement projects during the coming period in various governorates.
The meeting was attended by the directors of the Hodeidah office Jaber Al-Razhi, the director of displacement Khaled Al-Abali, the director of Culsters Abdullah Abu Talib, the coordinator of the shelter Culster John, and his deputy, Munir Al-Sabari.
