The number of DISPLACED REACH TO 3.6 AND 1.3 RETURNEES
The number of IDPs reached to 3.6 million and 1.3 million returnees where 12% of the population left their homes and displaced to multiple areas where 3.6 million people were displaced, most of whom went to the capital Sana’a (1/2 million displaced), followed by Hodeidah governorate which includes 82,030 displaced families, after that Hajjah governorate which receives 79,199 families and Saada 57,734 families, and Taiz 56,424 families.
Al-Hudaydah governorate have the most displacement wave, where there are 118,000 families leave their homes to more safer province within the same governorate, or to other governorates. Where the capital Sanaa includes the biggest number which is about 25,967 families were from the capital.
74,470 families were displaced from Hajjah governorate.
The main reason for the displacement is war and conflict, while natural disasters caused the displacement of 0.5% of the number of displaced people in Socotra, Hadramout and Shabwa. 213,426 families usually returned to their former places of residence.
(1,280,562 people) Of IDPs in returned to capital Sanaa 2018 to Aden and Taiz during (2017 -2015), while Sada’a governorate has seen return of displace people in hug mount during 2018.
