Meeting to discuss prison conditions and inmates with the Red Cross delegation and the rehabilitation service .

The head of Authority  of the humanitarian coordination  Affairs (NAMCHA), Abdulmohsen Tawoos, met on Monday with the head of the Interior Ministry’s rehabilitation and reform department, General Abdullah al-Hadi, and the head of the ICRC delegation, Franz Roachenstein.

The meeting discussed topics related to the conditions of prisons and corrections inmates, a well as  the tasks and functions of the rehabilitation department and the humanitarian needs of inmates.

At the meeting, the President of the National Authority  stressed the importance of informing the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) humanitarian role in alleviating the suffering of the inmates  and  providing  them with emergency needs.

The head rehabilitation looks over living and health conditions of inmates and prisons as well as general conditions and the difficulties faced by stakeholders in the provision of essential health services and hosing  for rehabilitation inmates  .

The head of the ICRC delegation stressed that the ICRC provides many services and needs to the prisoners.
