A meeting discusses possible interventions in the agricultural sector.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, hold a meeting today to discuss possible interventions in the agricultural sector.
The meeting,in the presence of the head of the Agricultural Cooperative Union, Mubarak Al-Qili, and the Executive Director of the Union, Abdo Farhan, reviewed the most prominent interventions required to be implemented in the liberated areas to contribute to the agricultural renaissance.
Tawoos pointed to the possibility of harnessing support to strengthen the infrastructure of the agricultural sectore.
He confirmed the importance of concerted efforts at this stage to achieve self-sufficiency.
He stressed the importance that future programs and projects of international organizations include effective intervention in the agricultural sector.
While the head of the Union appreciated the attention of SCMCHA in the agricultural aspect, pointing to the conditions of the agricultural sector and the possibility of contributing to achieving an agricultural renaissance that provides citizens with their food needs in light of the current conditions in accordance with the priority of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee.
At the meeting, a joint committee was formed to define activities and programs concerned with food security in order to direct the necessary support.
