Meeting to discuss UNDP activities .

A meeting of the National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, chaired by the Undersecretary of the Cooperation Sector Mama’a Al Asl discussed the activities of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and means of coordination and cooperation between the state agencies and the program.

The meeting looks over  the progress reports of the first phase of the Yemeni Rural Resilience Enhancement Program.

 which is being implemented sharing with  four UN and international organizations funded by the European Union.

The Undersecretary stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the Authority and the United Nations Development Program and its partners in order to ensure the facilitation of mechanisms and stages of humanitarian and development activities in a way that maximizes the benefit of the target in the program of strengthening rural resilience.

 He pointed out that the Authority  found only to overcome the difficulties in front of  all organizations working in the humanitarian field as only way  of  the state sectors that  interested in dealing with humanitarian and development organizations.

The meeting was attended by a number of leaders of the Authority  and officials of the UNDP program to strengthen rural resilience.
