Discussing around UNOSPS Project Service.
The head of the National Authority for Humanitarian Affairs (NAMCHA), Abdulmohsen Tawoos, met on Wednesday with the UNOPS Acting Officer (UNOPS) Fayyad Rasoul and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Authority ‘s representative for the single-window sector, Hamza Al-Mukhtar reviewed a number of activities offered by the office within the scope of humanitarian and development work in our country in light of the conditions experienced by Yemen due to the siege and aggression.
He stressed that the United Nations Office for Project Services is concerned like other UN and international organizations, in taking care of the priorities of humanitarian work and going within the scope of the plan of need presented by the Humanitarian Affairs.
Abdul Mohsen praised the achievements of the Office in the service of humanitarian work and pushing the pace of relief and development work.
He also pointed out that the Authority has made and will make more efforts to break the obstacles that stand in front of humanitarian cadres in general and the staff of the United Nations Office for Project Services in particular.
He also stressed the necessity of the firm commitment of humanitarian workers in coordination with the Humanitarian Affairs Authority as the single way of the state organs, which existed only for the purpose of overcoming difficulties in front of organizations in a way that does not violate the laws of the country.
Fayyad Rasul also expressed his gratitude for the work provided by the Authority and expressed his happiness for the seriousness of the meeting and the steps that will be built on it in the future.
