Al-Hamli meets the French and Swiss heads of MSF.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, discussed today with the heads of the French and Swiss MSF missions, Ahmed Mahat and Bernadette Schuber, the organization’s projects in the field of health.
The meeting, in the presence of the head of the International Cooperation Department of SCMCHA, Ali Al-Kahlani, and the deputy head of the mission, Muhammad Jamal, touched on the mechanism of strengthening the mission’s interventions in the field of health according to the actual need.
The meeting reviewed the activities of MSF mission, the problems it faces, and the means to address them, to ensure the implementation of its activities and programs.
In the meeting, the Secretary-General of SCMCHA indicated to the importance of coordination between the SCMCHA and the mission to implement humanitarian projects and activities that contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens in light of the humanitarian catastrophe that Yemen is going through as a result of the continued aggression and siege.
He pointed out the important of signing sub-agreements faster to facilitate the progress of humanitarian work and to deal flexibly with organizations that adhere to the principles and values of humanitarian work and respect the procedures and laws in Yemen.
In turn , the heads of the French and Swiss missions of MSF affirmed the organization’s commitment to coordinating with SCMCHA in implementing its activities and interventions.
He noted the facilities provided by the Humanitarian Affairs Council to humanitarian partners in Yemen.
The meeting was attended by the Director of International Organizations of SCMCHA, Turki Jamil.
