Discussing the projects and activities of NRC.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met today with the Country director of the Norwegian Refugee Council, Erin Hutchinson.
The meeting, which was attended by the Head of the Planning Department, Faisal Modhesh, and the Senior Partnerships Officer for NCR , Ibrahim Zuhair, discussed the projects and activities of the NRC in the humanitarian and relief aspect.
The meeting touched on the mechanisms for providing aid in accordance with humanitarian standards and according to the reality of the actual need in the field and the need plans submitted by the relevant authorities.
In the meeting, Al-Hamli stressed the importance of coordinating with the council and discussing problems to find appropriate solutions, in order to achieve the benefit of providing aid, and alleviating the amount of human suffering caused by the aggression and exacerbated by the unjust siege on Yemen.
He confirmed the importance of respecting Yemeni values, customs and traditions, pointing to the importance of turning from providing emergency aid to implementing sustainable development projects.
For his part, the Country director of NRC appreciated the efforts of SCMCHA in facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations in Yemen.
He pointed out that NRC seeks to improve the level of its work in accordance with the actual needs plans in the field, and according to the raising of the relevant authorities.
The meeting was attended by the Director of International Organizations department of SCMCHA, Turki Jamil, and the Head of Program Support at the NRC , Nizar Al-Shuwaiter.
