Al-Hamli discusses with the director of the OCHA office in Yemen the humanitarian situation.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met today with the Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs,Sajjad Muhammad Sajid.
During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen in light of the continued blockade and the detention of oil derivatives ships by the coalition of aggression.
In the meeting, Al-Hamli pointed out the importance of international and humanitarian organizations’ role in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people in light of the humanitarian crisis they are experiencing as a result of the aggression and siege.
He pointed to the facilities provided by the SCMCHA to the humanitarian activities and projects of organizations operating in Yemen, especially as a result of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world the Yemeni people are going through.
For his part, the Director of OCHA expressed his understanding of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.
He appreciated the role of SCMCHA in facilitating the work of organizations operating in Yemen.
The meeting was attended by the Director of International Organizations department Turki Jamil, and the director of Monitoring and Evaluation department,Mohammed Al-Razzaa.
