Al-Hamli meets the head of the National Association of Yemeni Midwives
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met today with the head of the National Association of Yemeni Midwives, Sabah Al-Dhafri.
The meeting, in the presence of the Head of the Planning Department, Faisal Modhish, discussed the association’s activities and interventions in the aspect of training and qualifying midwives in the health field to enable them to play their role in serving mothers and newborns.
Al-Hamli confirmed the importance of developing the capabilities of health cadres and building the capacities of midwives.
He pointed to the importance of intensifying the activities of the association to contribute to improving the health performance of midwives and securing the community’s needs for health services.
In turn, the head of the Midwives Association stressed the association’s keenness to enhance the role of midwives, pointing to the importance of coordination with SCMCHA through the implementation of interventions that contribute to alleviating human suffering.
