A meeting to discuss the needs of the sectors of the Ministry of Transport.
A meeting was held today in Sana’a , in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, and the Minister of Transport, Abdel Wahab Al-Durra, discussed the conditions of Sana’a International Airport and seaports.
The meeting, included Deputy Minister of Transport Muhammad Al-Hashemi, touched on aspects related to the needs of the sectors of the Ministry of Transport, including Sana’a Airport and seaports, to help them provide services in accordance with relevant international standards.
At the meeting, the Secretary-General of SCMCHA stressed the importance of continuing the services of the transport sector, because of its importance in the humanitarian aspects.
He pointed to the importance of providing technical studies for projects of the Ministry of Transport with priority needs, stressing that SCMCHA will work to follow up on the United Nations to provide the Ministry of Transport’s needs of devices and equipment according to priorities.
For his part, the Minister of Transport confirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation with SCMCHA for Humanitarian Affairs, which is concerned with communicating with international organizations to provide for the humanitarian needs of the transport sector.
He pointed to the importance of enhancing coordination between the Ministry of Transport, SCMCHA and organizations to implement projects related to the transport sector.
He appreciated SCMCHA efforts in providing two fire engines to Sana’a International Airport and the Red Sea Ports Corporation in Hodeidah.
The meeting came out with a number of measures, including the formation of a committee from SCMCHA and the Ministry of Transport to discuss priorities and submit appropriate proposals.
