Tawoos discusses the need for prisons with the Deputy of the International Committee for Red Cross
The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, AbdulMohsen Tawoos, met on Wednesday vice-president of the International Committee of the Red Cross Sabin Al-Kasandi Ekoi.
The meeting discussed the cooperation and coordination between the Supreme Council and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The meeting also discussed aspects of the committee’s support in the field of health and improving the prison situation in Yemen.
The Secretary-General praised the Interventions of the International Committee for Red Cross and its humanitarian support, stressing the need to provide the necessary services to prisons.
He stressed the importance of the commission continuing its activities, working to increase prison interventions and providing adequate support to prisons.
Al-Kasandi expressed the committee’s readiness to make great efforts to improve and alleviate prison conditions.
