Discussion around Yemeni children situation as a result of the continuing aggression and blockade.
The Secretary General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, AbdulMohsen Tawoos, discussed during his meeting on Saturday with the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Akhlag Al-Shami, the situation of children in Yemen due to the continuing aggression and siege.
The meeting looked over the damage done to children as a result of the aggression, which led to the killing, displacement , psychological illnesses that affected most children in Yemen.
The meeting also reviewed the suffering caused by the blockade to children, who were most affected by the deprivation of many basic needs such as food and medicine.
Al Tawoos stressed that the Yemeni child was deprived of his most basic rights as a result of the aggression, which aggravated his suffering, not to mention the targeting of direct aggression against them.
He also explain the humanitarian role of the humanitarian organizations toward Yemeni child which was negative and did not live up to the required level.
Akhlag Al-Shami said that the humanitarian projects that Yemeni child need were directed by organizations unfairly where the organizations implement projects in some areas while others have been ignored.
