Al-Hamli meets the new representative of the UNFPA.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met today with the new representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Yemen, Inshirah Ahmed.
The group discussed methods to strengthen collaboration and develop collaborative initiatives to help alleviate the human suffering endured by Yemenis as a result of the aggression and blockade.
During the meeting, in the presence of Ali Al-Kahlani, Head of SCMCHA’s International Cooperation Department,Secretary-
General of SCMCHA emphasized the importance of increasing coordination and working collaboratively to support efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, who are facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
Al-Hamli touched on the humanitarian role that the UN Population Fund should play in alleviating Yemenis’ suffering through full coordination and cooperation with the Humanitarian Affairs Council, which works to facilitate the course of humanitarian action and to implement its common objectives.
In her turn, the new representative of UNFPA appreciated SCMCHA’s efforts in facilitating the course of humanitarian work, emphasizing the Fund’s eagerness to continue its humanitarian work and fulfill its obligations to Yemen..
The meeting was attended by the Director General of international organizations, Turki Jamil, and the Director of Emergencies and Displacement, Naji Azman
