In 14 governorates, SCMCHA worked with UNHCR in Yemen to disburse the ninth batch of multi-purpose cash assistance to the displaced.
690 million and 150 thousand riyals were provided to 5,657 displaced families, in 124 districts in 14 governorates, at a rate of 122,000 thousand per family, through Al Amal Bank.
The disbursement of the ninth banch comes within the framework of SCMCHA’s efforts with humanitarian partners to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, in light of the humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people are experiencing as a result of the aggression and siege.
On September 28, the Secretary-General of SCMCHA, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, has inaugurated the disbursement of the eighth batch of cash aid to the displaced in 15 governorates.
The eighth batch of cash aid to the displaced in 15 governorates, amounting to one billion and 135 million and 567 thousand rial.
The total amount disbursed as cash assistance to the displaced, from a multi-sectoral project funded by UNCHR, from January to October of this year, according to the report of SCMCHA’s General Department of Emergency and Displacement, reached 6 billion, 249 million, thousands, and 206 thousand riyals, for 51 thousand riyals and 223 displaced people.
